Once again it is ridiculously hot in New York City. Our air conditioner at work was having difficulty keeping up, so we decided to upgrade it. Unfortunately, the new one didn’t have a long enough power chord, so for the past few hours its been blisteringly hot in the office as well (not to mention disgustingly humid).
I’ve been reading in the papers about how it is record-breaking heat almost everywhere in the country. Too bad the current administration doesn’t allow the media to say “global warming.”

It’s ridiculouse that you blame the Bush admin for not taking action against global warming and in the same time you buy air conditioners one of the primiry source of Chlorinated Fluorocarbons (CFC).
Politicians do (at least in theory) what people whants. If there weren’t so much air conditioners in US the warming and the umidity would be much lower.
The reality is that people aren’t willing to renounce something for the future of other people and even less for the future of other species.
The world is big enought for all of us but not for all US!

That’s ok — if it gets too hot down here, we’ll just invade Canada.
