I had the same issues with Mozy customer service. I've since used Carbonite and MyOtherDrive and found that http://www.myotherdrive.com has the absolute best customer service.

I am a paying customer with MyOtherDrive now.

I am having multiple problems with Mozy and just downloaded Carbonite which appears to be a friendlier experience. Mozy keeps coming up with technical problems and I don't have the time to keep on calling them.

I'm one of the developers working on the Mac client and wanted to comment on a few of the issues you mentioned.

1) The Mac client does not auto-restart currently. This will be fixed in our next release (version 0.9.3) which is currently being tested. The Windows client already does this.

2) Both home versions of Mozy (Mac and Windows) currently limit their upload speed to 1Mbit/second. The Mac client is not labeled correctly and will be updated in the 0.9.3 release.

I think that forums, a knowledge base, and a customer-directed announcement page are great ideas. I'll suggest them.

Being that the Mac client is in beta, Mozy appreciates any suggestions or feedback you have. You can always send email to macsupport at mozy dot com.
